If we look up at the starry sky, it would seem that the universe contains an endless stream of stars. But that's not true, for a star has a natural life span. Some, like gigantic stars, burst into supernovas; others go more quietly. The fact is these stars ultimately dies, sometimes in spectacularly brilliant fashion.
